Mental health counseling can change someone’s life. Psychotherapy provides a safe, professional, and confidential space where people can become healthier and make positive changes.

At Samaritan Counseling Center Hawai’i, we don’t turn anyone away for financial reasons. Our Client Assistance Fund is a safety net for people struggling with life’s challenges. We were founded in 1989 by two University of Hawai'i social work students, Terry Fisher and Judy Hormell, who wanted to establish a counseling center where a person’s faith could be a source of strength in the healing process.

In 2023, with your help, 185 clients received subsidized care (51.5% of all clients served), through 1,101 subsidized counseling sessions. You made that possible!
