Brooklyn Leonardo-Ortal's Story

Brooklyn and I are fundraising for her late sister, Sydney, who was a shelter Pit Bull-mix like she is. Sydney was our family’s first Pit Bull and we did not realize how much of a bad reputation Pit Bulls get. She was the sweetest girl, but would often get told she looked aggressive or mean. We thankfully found a great community of other owners who love their blockhead dogs and saw the magic, companionship and love that having a rescued dog could bring to their owners. Our sweet girl taught us about so much and lifted our lives in so many ways. She has inspired us to continue to help as many Pit Bulls as possible and break the stigma against beloved pitties.
