I first learned about The Street Dog Coalition shortly after the onset of the pandemic. I immediately signed up to volunteer, and started hosting pop up clinics in the Bay Area in June 2020. It was an incredible experience to be able to help those most in need, and a true privilege to connect with the people who brought their pets to me for veterinary care. I have continued to volunteer as Bay Area veterinary Team Lead, and I was honored to have the opportunity to step into the role of National Medical Director for The Street Dog Coalition in February 2023. This is our second Step Challenge, and this year I will be committing to completing a Spanish for Veterinary Professionals course, so I can better communicate with Spanish speaking pet parents at our street clinics. With your help, we can continue to provide essential veterinary care and collaborate with One Health outreach organizations to care for the lives on both ends of the leash. Thank you so much for your support!
