Sampson came to Streetdog Foundation after being abandoned just days after Christmas—neglected, malnourished, and covered in injuries that told a devastating story. But even after all he’s been through, Sampson is one of the gentlest, most loving dogs we’ve ever met.

He’s safe now—but his road to recovery has taken a frightening turn.

In the past few weeks, Sampson began collapsing without warning. Testing revealed an enlarged heart, and now his vet has found something concerning on his brain. He’s being referred to Mississippi State for an MRI to rule out infection and find out what’s happening—but it’s urgent, and it’s expensive.

And his fosters are carrying the weight of it all on their own.
