Marija is originally from Serbia where she received her B.A. (Hons.) at the University of Art.  She later immigrated to Canada and was trained as a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI ) in 2011. Marija knew she needed to introduce the infant massage program to her home country and in 2012, life brought her back to Serbia where she was the first, and only CIMI. She taught parents, offered lectures, presentations and interviews for local media willing to promote positive parenting and nurturing touch. In 2013, Marija organized the first training for new instructors and worked to establish the Serbian Chapter of IAIM. Since then Marija has been serving on the Board of the Serbian Chapter as the International Representative. She participated in three IAIM General Assemblies and has served on three IAIM Committees.

Marija lives in the Bay Area, CA with her husband Mark and is a Member of Infant Massage USA. She continues to work with parents teaching infant massage and Musical Baby Bonding™. She also became a certified Yoga Instructor in 2018 and a Prenatal Yoga Instructor in 2019.

Combining fields in technology and publishing, Deb has created PreemieWorld as the go-to space for education, support and resources for the preemie community including the acclaimed book, The Preemie Parent’s Survival Guide to the NICU. Prior to PreemieWorld Deb founded and ran the award-winning Preemie Magazine. She is also founder and CEO of Preemie Crystal Ball and a co-founder of the Alliance for Black NICU Families.

When not sought after for speaking engagements, media and news-related spots for the medical and general public, Deb provides public service to her community in the form of being a founding member and steering committee member of the National Premature Infant Health Coalition and a founding member and former Leadership team member of the NICU Parent Network. Dr. Yamile Jackson is the CEO and Founder of Nurtured by Design. In 2001, after working in engineering and construction for the oil and gas industry for over a decade, Yamile gave birth 12 weeks prematurely to Zachary, who weighed less than 2 lbs and was in the intensive care unit for 5 months. Three weeks after he was born, Zachary survived the deluge of Tropical Storm Allison in Houston that shut down the power to his life-support equipment. Yamile, her husband and the staff kept him alive “by hand” for 9 hours until he was evacuated.

Since his birth, Yamile applied her PhD in ergonomics and human factors engineering to designing evidence-based devices and services that improve the safety, sleep, development, and quality of life of mother and child. For her Nurturing Technology™ that includes The Zaky™, Kangaroo Zak®, and Zen by Zak™ she has received over 20 awards including the Oprah's and Toyota's Standing Ovation Award (and $25,000 Grant), Ultimate Latina Award in the Health Category by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Female Hispanic Entrepreneur by the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Top 20 Latino Innovators of the Year by NBC Latino, and the Outstanding Woman Owned Business by SCORE FOUNDATION. Zachary is a healthy 15 year old and is Nurtured by Design’s CIO (Chief Inspirational Officer).
