Join us for a joyful and creative Hanukkah party hosted by The LUNAR Collective’s Seattle Hub! Let’s collectively bring light to our Seattle winters with various Hanukkah activities for all ages, including candle-making, crafting, dreidels, and more! All participants will be able to take home their very own candle votive, but you are welcome to bring your own to pour. Latkes and donuts as well as non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided, but please do bring your favorite Asian-Jewish-inspired dips!
This event is open to Asian American Jews and their +1 guests. LUNAR defines ‘Asian American Jews’ as folks who identify as both Jewish (whether by heritage, religion or culture) and Asian American - this includes mixed-race folks, transracial adoptees, Asian Jews by Choice, and more. We fully welcome those in the process of converting to Judaism or simply exploring Judaism. This is a family friend event with community member childcare provided, although we ask that an adult accompany minors at all times.
In the spirit of keeping this event accessible, we are offering tickets on a donate-what-you-can model. The true cost of attendance is $40 per person, including venue costs, food, supplies, and equitable compensation for our Asian Jewish organizers and staff. We invite you to pay what you can, to help us make this event a success!
We plan to take photos of this event; please let us know if you would prefer not to be photographed. The venue is a 3-minute walk from the Chinatown-International District light rail station. Free street parking nearby is also available.
