Sarah Snellenberger's Story
As an elementary and middle school student, my favorite part of the year was always when Coastlands visited the school. They would come for a week to spend time with the students and teach us about God through fun and exciting lessons each day. Even then, I always felt the messages challenge yet invigorate my faith. Coastland's impact on my walk with Christ has influenced me to the present day, encouraging me to continue seeking God and His plan for my life.
In later years, I have continued to participate in Coastland activities. Specifically, I became a teen helper for one of their outreaches to a school in New Hampshire. There, I not only saw the transformation in the lives of several students but was able to stay in connection with those I encountered, leading to further transformation and answered prayers. This experience has shown me just a glimpse of the immense impact Coastlands has on the schools they meet.
Coastlands has also given me personal direction, leading me to the path God has planned for my life in ministry for His kingdom in the years to come. Out of this organization grew my love for God's calling on my life, which has directly applied to the Great Commission; "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you, and surely I am with you always to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:16-20). I can testify how Coastlands has practically lived this and inspired me to do the same wherever God may lead me. From personal experience, I cannot stress enough the importance of this organization to the lives of students across the Northeast.

Story
One of the hardest experiences for any youth is losing a classmate. When "Rachel" unexpectedly lost a long-time friend, she experienced the sadness, anger, and questioning that many of us have felt in a similar circumstance. As time went on, her grief was compounded by loneliness, as she felt like everyone around her was "over it" while she still struggled. "I really don’t know what to do. I haven’t opened up about it before for fear of being someone’s burden.”
Your support sends Coastlands teams to help hurting students like Rachel. After journaling with one of our team members during our week with her school, Rachel wrote, "I wanted to thank you for giving me some of the best advice and encouragement I’ve had in a long time. I really needed it. And thank you for sharing about your sister. It reminded me that I’m not alone in a situation like this, and other people have gone through the same thing and come through it. I’ve written down all the scripture references you’ve given me and I plan to go over them more in depth in my quiet time this weekend. This year’s spiritual emphasis week message, as well as the worship and the journaling, has encouraged me to deepen my relationship with God. I can’t thank you enough for responding so positively when I told you about [him].”
Your donation sends hope to students like Rachel - when you send a Coastlands team, you send a friend, a listening ear, a mentor. The need of students continues to be as big as ever, and we thank you for partnering with Coastlands so that together we can impact youth throughout the Northeast!
