Luciana's Story: My name is Luciana Jarama. I was born with the potential to do anything. However, Sanfilippo (MPS III) is slowly taking that away from me, every single day. In spite of it all, I live, I love. Sanfilippo Syndrome is like Alzheimer's in kids, it's also known as child dementia. This rare disease is making me forget all my abilities. I will never lose faith that one day we can find a cure. During this process my family is trying to give me the best quality of life. Although, my parents need extra help to take care of me.

That is why I need a friend that could take care of me too. A friend that can be focused on me, ready to give me support when I need it. My service dog is going to make my life easier going, helping me to do things I might struggle with doing on my own. Plus, he or she is going to make me smile and is going to bring more faith and happiness to my family. I am an angel that needs another angel to keep strong in this path.

Please help me to acquire my friend so he/she could be with me. I will be very grateful for all your help and support. We know that one day I will find a cure.
