At Single Fathers Network, we believe that every child deserves meaningful time with their dad and that fathers deserve opportunities to strengthen their relationships with their children in positive, memorable ways. Too often, single fathers face barriers, such as financial, emotional, or logistical, that make it difficult to create these experiences. That is why we are launching our first-ever Catch and Connect: A Fishing with Dad Event on Saturday, October 11, 2025 in Phoenix, AZ.

This free, family-centered event invites single fathers and their children to step away from daily stress and spend a day outdoors, learning to fish, laughing together, and creating lifelong memories. Thanks to our partners, including the Arizona Game & Fish Department, more than 50 youth participants will receive brand-new fishing poles, reels, and tackle boxes to take home. Families will enjoy time together at the lake, guided activities, and a community atmosphere where fathers can connect with each other as well.

Your support makes this possible. Funds raised will go directly toward program supplies, hospitality, transportation assistance for families in need, and ongoing resources through SFN’s four Centers of Impact:

Family Development Center: Parenting and early childhood programs
Health & Wellness Center: Mental health, recovery, and men’s wellness
Family Law Center: Legal literacy and family court readiness
Financial Education Center: Financial literacy and wealth-building support
