Restoring Justice Fundraising Campaign

There are 4.7 million people in Harris County, Texas. Twenty percent of that population is African American. The overcrowded Harris County Jail population is regularly over 50% Black people. This egregious disparity is not a picture of justice. What does our incarceration system need most? Shalom! Shalom is Hebrew for peace based in wholeness. We fight for wholeness for every client: from jail to healing.
GOALS:
Together we can provide families with compassionate and hope-giving legal, social, counseling, and volunteer services. Together we can make shalom for our city!
Join our mission to help our incarcerated brothers and sisters and their loved ones, by confronting unnecessary incarceration, humanizing the criminal legal system, and ending mass incarceration by:
- 1. Supporting the incarcerated with client-centered legal representation.
- 2. Breaking chains of poverty through holistic social services
- 3. Supporting the health of the incarcerated by providing them with trauma informed counseling
- 4. Pairing each of our clients with a member from the community for an equal opportunity to have spiritual support and fearless love.
