Please share with your communities, families, and colleagues as we link together to help provide shelter for Ukrainian refugees!
More than 12.5 million people have been displaced by the war in Ukraine. ShelterBox teams are on the ground in Lviv, Ukraine, and Moldova overseeing the distribution of life-saving aid to help people internally displaced within the country and refugees forced to flee to neighboring countries. Thousands of mattresses have already been distributed to provide comfort to people sleeping in evacuation centers. Emergency ShelterKit distributions are underway to help people living in damaged buildings, along with essential household supplies, including solar lights, thermal blankets, and water carriers.
Since its founding in 2000, it has helped more than 2.5 million people around the world in over 100 countries, responding to more than 300 disasters. ShelterBox tailors its aid items to each disaster, frequently providing disaster relief tents, thermal blankets, water filtration systems, emergency lighting, and other tools for survival. ShelterBox has significant experience working in conflict zones, including ongoing responses in Syria, Burkina Faso, Yemen, and Ethiopia. The organization was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018 and 2019 for it's work in the world's most extreme conflict zones.
