Honoring Bike & Build's Legacy: A New Chapter with Field Academy

After 20 incredible years of cross-country and regional cycling trips in support of affordable housing, Bike & Build has officially sunsetted. However, its mission lives on through an exciting new partnership with Field Academy, a nonprofit dedicated to alternative education and social justice.

Field Academy engages high school students through immersive, interdisciplinary programs that explore the United States as a classroom. With a focus on rigorous academics, transformative travel, and meaningful community connections, their approach aligns beautifully with the core values that defined Bike & Build: adventure, diversity, access, challenge, and impact.

When Field Academy's Executive Director, Anna Graves, connected with Bike & Build's following the sunset announcement, there was a clear connection between the organizations that aligned with preserving Bike & Build’s legacy. Her vision of integrating our mission into Field Academy’s work inspired us. Together, we aim to empower future generations of young leaders while keeping the spirit of Bike & Build alive.
