Join us for our 11th Annual Blue Heart Signing Day Senior Celebration as we celebrate the achievements of our graduating seniors.

This is a free community celebration, but if you’d like to support the work of The Blue Heart Foundation, donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. Every contribution helps us continue mentoring and preparing young men for college, careers, and leadership.

Everything we do at Blue Heart is aimed at equipping young black men with the tools to be successful in Career, College and… LIFE!! We give them hope, belief and the confidence to be themselves!!

Our Signing Day Event is the culmination of all the work we do! From age 12-18, we build leaders who are ready and able to be successful post high school!

WHAT IS SIGNING DAY?

Blue Heart Signing Day is the day students who have gone through our program reveal to their family and friends their college and/or career choice.

Every year The Blue Heart Foundation celebrates our seniors as they graduate from high school and choose the direction (4yr, 2yr, or workforce) that will take them into their next life adventure.

The Blue Heart 2.0 Academy Model

A Three-Pillar System for Developing Leaders

At The Blue Heart Foundation, we believe transformation doesn’t happen through one workshop, one mentor, or one event. It happens through structure. The Blue Heart Academy Model is our comprehensive, three-pillar youth development system designed to support young men academically, emotionally, culturally, and socially from middle school through high school graduation.

H.E.A.R.T LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

The HEART Leadership Academy prepares young men for college, career, and long-term economic mobility through structured mentorship and leadership development. Students gain support in college applications, financial literacy, career exploration, and professional skill-building, ensuring they graduate with a clear and confident post-secondary plan.

MINDFUL HEART ACADEMY

Our Mindful Heart program is designed to build social-emotional (SE) skills to help our young men manage people, environments, and situations that they may experience in their lives. Skills which include, but are not limited to the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for youth to recognize and control their emotions and behaviors; build confidence, self-love, racial pride, and self-esteem. Increase mindfulness, establish, and maintain positive relationships; make responsible decisions, solve challenging situations; and set and achieve positive goals. Program includes Mentor Connection, Culinary Therapy, and Improv.

BLUE HEART STEP & CULTURAL ARTS ACADEMY

The Step & Cultural Arts Academy preserves the rich tradition of Black American stepping while developing leadership, discipline, and cultural pride. Through structured rehearsals and public performances, students build confidence, teamwork, and accountability, carrying those lessons into school, community, and life.

Our program helps our young blues prepare and get accepted to college… But we need your help to keep them there!

About Us

Established in 2013, The Blue Heart Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving underserved African American male youth, ages 12–18, across greater San Diego County. Through our structured Blue Heart Academy Model, we develop young men academically, emotionally, and culturally — preparing them for college, career, and leadership in life.

Our integrated approach combines leadership development, emotional intelligence, and culturally grounded performance arts to build confident, disciplined, and prepared young leaders.
