Â
We’re committed to providing safe shelter, rehabilitation, and opportunity for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) in Kenya.Â
Â
In just two years of operations, we've been able to …Â
Â
1) Shelter, rehabilitate, and reintegrate 55Â women and children (including 4 infants born in our care).
2) Counsel, educate, and employ over 60 at-risk women on our sustainable teaching farm.
3) Inform and inspire over 400 men, women, and children on the prevalence and consequences of gender-based violence.
4) Coach and mentor over 30 young boys in positive masculinity through local sports programs.
Â
But, we need funds to continue our work through the end of the year. Recurring donations are strongly preferred, though any contribution is greatly appreciated!
Â
For reference:
$25 = One week's worth of food for a family of three.
$50 = One month's worth of electricity for Sikhona Home.
$100 = One month's worth of food for a family of three.
$200 = One month's rent for Sikhona Home.
Â
Thank you for believing in our mission. Together, we are creating a more equitable future for all women!
Â
Asante sana!
("Thank you very much!")
