As we near the end of our Silver Anniversary year providing no cost, loving comfort care for the dying, we look onward to continuing and growing our mission and celebrating our Golden Anniversary 25 years from now. Crossroads has provided care for over 600 residents, allowing them to live as fully as possible until they take their last breath, in our home like setting. Your support will be instrumental in helping us continue to fulfill our mission and expand our services. It takes 60 volunteers a week to fill our schedule. Like other non-profits, we are seeing a decrease in those willing to volunteer as caregivers, as well as fundraisers. We often have to rely on paid staff to fill these gaps, straining our budget at times.

Our future plans include expanding to provide end of life doula care in the home, as the need for services that assist the terminally ill and their families rises with our aging population. Doulas make the journey alongside the dying person and their families, providing emotional and spiritual support, and guidance in understanding the death process.
