Story

On Dec. 8th, 2022, Adams County Humane Agent Meghann Fast was called to a scene in regard to a couple of dogs living in an abandoned hoarding situation. At the scene, along with two other dogs, she discovered Sissy. During her rescue, she noticed her front left leg was broken.
As shelter staff were bandaging Sissy's leg to stabilize it, it was clear the leg was mangled. They also noticed her right front leg has an old break, making her walk with her leg curved and not able to put weight on it.
We are humbly asking the public for donations as Sissy will have to have her leg amputated. Sadly, there is no saving it. Her right leg is okay to keep, but she will have an awkward walk.
Please consider donating to cover Sissy's operation.
