Community Conversations: Sister to Sister, Inc. launched Sister to Steward with the support of a City of Cambridge Violence Prevention grant — and that funding carried us through June 2026. What happens next is up to our community.

In parallel to launching the pilot, we're taking the next 14 days to raise $20,000 before our fiscal year closes on June 30.

Here's exactly how it will be used:

$10,500 → Stewards
$1,500 fully sponsors one community steward — $1,000 as a wellbeing stipend honoring their time, presence, and energy across the full stewardship year, and $500 invested directly into their steward-led project, gathering, conversation, or community action.

Your $10,500 funds up to 7 stewards stepping into their leadership.

$9,500 → The Program That Holds Them
Stewards don't succeed alone. The second half of our goal sustains what makes their leadership possible:

Programmatic infrastructure — the coordination and community care that holds the program together
Curriculum development and refreshes — so our training reflects the evolving needs of our community
Ongoing evaluation and documentation — capturing what we're learning so the model can grow, replicate, and remain accountable to the people it serves

Together, these two investments make what's becoming Sister-Sibling to Steward sustainable — not just this year, but as a model that can keep growing.
