A Second Chance to Finish What COVID Interrupted
In early 2020, I was preparing to travel to China to collaborate and learn alongside educators serving autistic individuals. I was packed and ready, and then the world shut down. COVID cut that opportunity short before it could truly begin.
For years, that experience felt like unfinished business.
Since 2020, I have gone back to school, recevied my masters degree, and become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. As a BCBA, my work centers around building meaningful, sustainable systems of support for autistic students, their families, and the educators who serve them. That mission doesn’t stop at the walls of my school district - and it certainly doesn’t stop at national borders.
This July, I have been accepted to travel with Global Autism Project.
Global Autism Project partners with communities around the world to build culturally responsive and sustainable autism services. Rather than short-term volunteer work, their model focuses on long-term relationships, mentoring and training local providers so that services continue long after the trip ends.
This opportunity represents a second chance to finish a chapter that was interrupted, and to contribute to global capacity building in a way that aligns deeply with my professional values.
To make this happen, I need to raise $9,500 by April 14 to cover training and program costs. All of my travel expenses will come out of my own pocket.
If you feel inspired to support this journey, whether through a donation or by sharing this page, I am deeply grateful. Every contribution helps expand sustainable autism services across the globe.
Thank you!
