Sydney Reed's Story

Hello and thank you for checking out my fundraising page. I am Sydney Reed, part of the SkillCorps 2026 group. I am so grateful to have been chosen for this opportunity to make deep, meaningful connections with so many individuals around the globe. I truly feel it is my life's purpose to empower and support others to reach their full potential in a world that does not fully understand (yet). I am raising money to spread autism awareness and acceptance in every community I encounter.

Over the past year, I have had the privilege of working closely with children on the autism spectrum, building meaningful connections with both them and their families. Witnessing the individual progress each child has made has been profoundly rewarding and has deepened my commitment to this work.

My involvement in the autism community has taught me the importance of how we speak about neurodiversity and how words shape perceptions, and perceptions influence opportunity. I have seen firsthand that autism is not a limitation; with the right support, these children are more than capable of leading fulfilling, successful lives.

Through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, I focus on teaching essential life skills, behavior management, and communication strategies tailored to each child's unique needs. The growth I witness daily is nothing short of inspiring. Being part of their journey is an honor, and I am deeply grateful to be on this career path. It’s not just a job; it’s a calling fueled by purpose, compassion, and hope. Will you join me in making this mission a reality?
