I am so thankful that you are here! I would love to share a bit about this opportunity and why it is so important to me!
Three years ago, I began working in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). Each day, I find myself invigorated and look forward to helping make a difference. I have transitioned from Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and strive to provide empathetic, encompassing, compassionate, and neurodiversity-affirming care to the families I work with, as well as helping teach others to practice the same.
✨Access to autism services is life-changing. I have seen families’ journeys that begin scared and exhausted, and watching them gain confidence, happiness, and hope; kids who have no communication beyond hurting themselves or others flourish, learning communication systems and coping skills that keep them safe, happy, and most importantly, let their voice be heard. Through SkillCorps®, I have the chance to help bring that access to care to others across the world.
🌍In July 2026, I will be joining a group of approximately 5-12 individuals on a 10-day trip to work alongside local autism providers in an under-resourced country. While there, we will follow the motto of “Do With Not For”, listening to the voices of the community we are visiting for what they want and need, and helping them gain resources and skills so they are able to flourish independently.
🤝To make this possible, I am fundraising a goal of $9,500. These funds go to the non-profit Global Autism Project to fund training materials, project expenses, resources for the communities we visit to become and remain independent once we leave, and so much more. This money is not for my personal airfare, documentation, or expenses on the trip. Each penny goes directly to Global Autism Project to provide culturally responsive and neurodiversity affirming care and resources.
