Founded in 2014, the SmART Kinston Foundation is dedicated to building a vibrant Kinston and Lenoir County by cultivating an arts-driven economy and championing creative placemaking that enriches community life. Currently, we have three programs: the smART Artist Program, the Paramount Theater project, The Line Action Sports Park at Caswell Mill Park.

The smART Artist Program includes the longstanding revitalization of the Mitchelltown Arts & Cultural District, the smART Gallery, and the smART Space -- a shared studio space currently under construction.

The Paramount Theater project, is focused on the restoration and reopening of the historic Paramount Theater on Queen St. in downtown Kinston.

Additionally, we were recently awarded the contract for redevelopment of the Caswell Mill Park (former Glen Raven Mills site) on Atlantic Ave. -- the first phase of which is The Line Action Sports Park.
