For Muslim families and masajid in Arizona to spiritually thrive for the next hundred years and beyond, one crucial ingredient for success is a center that trains locally raised religious leaders who connect deeply to both the Islamic tradition and the community.

This allows communities to engage in the foundation of our faith.

We want to contribute in this manner.

The SMILE Center seeks to address this growing community need:

We will train community teachers and leaders who are grounded in the Qur’an and can connect with the local community.
We will do so through the purchase of a ready-built facility so that we spend more time on people-building and less time on construction.
This facility will have ample space for prayers, education, and a revenue-generating endowment.

Current Status of the SMILE Center

May 1, 2024 Update : We are under escrow on this property and are conducting inspections and performing due diligence. We have an excellent team of lawyers, a seasoned architect, construction professionals, and volunteers assisting in the process of negotiating with the City and the Business Park Association that governs the property to receive all the required approvals.

We request your du’as and continued support.

For those who have made a pledge, we ask that you please fulfill the pledge as soon as possible. As we work through the diligence process, having cash on hand demonstrates to the seller that we will be able to close on the transaction. As we have stated previously, if for some reason the purchase of the building does not proceed, all donors will have the option of getting a full donation refund or keeping their donation with SMILE Center for a future building acquisition, insha’Allah.
