Hi, my name is Liza Vaughn! In a class at school, a group of friends and I were asked to come up with a cause that is meaningful to us as well as a solution. And Baskets for the Brave was created! Our goal is to provide entertainment and support in times of struggle for children admitted in UNC Children's Hospital long-term as well as their families. This cause is important to me because my dad has been involved with this hospital in particular for many years now, and it has opened my eyes to what these children go through. Not only would our baskets give them something fun personalized for them as well as notes letting them know they have a friend backing them up out there! Thank you all for your interest and support!
