Dolly: Our Sour Patch Kid

Born on April 1, 2020, Dolly has always been full of personality. She came to Layla's Rescue Ranch after being surrendered by a family who truly loved her but could no longer safely keep her due to behavioral challenges while living as an indoor pig alongside young children.

Dolly originally came from a breeder. Making the decision to surrender her was heartbreaking, but it was made out of love, knowing she deserved a home where she could simply be herself.

At Layla's Rescue Ranch, Dolly has exactly that. She is, and always will be, a spoiled indoor pig who enjoys all the comforts of home. She loves cozy naps, lounging on the couch, and getting belly rubs—but only when she decides it's time. Dolly makes the rules, and everyone around her knows it!

If you're lucky enough to earn her trust, she may even snuggle up beside you on the couch. Just don't make any sudden moves! Dolly is the definition of a Sour Patch Kid—sweet one moment, sassy the next. She'll happily cuddle with you, then remind you who's in charge if you move before she's ready. It's all part of her wonderfully unique personality, and we wouldn't change a thing.

Dolly has taught us that not every rescued animal fits into a traditional mold. Some simply need people who understand them, respect their boundaries, and love them exactly as they are.

Dolly may keep you on your toes, but beneath all that sass is a pig who has found exactly where she belongs—and we absolutely adore her for it.
