The resources to fix what is broken, update what is old, and improve the spaces we spend our lives in should be accessible to everyone.
Will you join me to help support the Tool Library?
Tools - and the skills to use them - are often unaccessible, due to cost, storage limitations, or lack of opportunities to learn. The SNTL fills this gap. Our tool library has thousands of tools, from the very small to the very large, providing the tools and skill building needed to solve most home maintenance and improvement challenges.
Quick facts from 2022:
- >75 volunteers together gave more than 3000 hours
- Members borrowed >1500 tools
- 168 new tools were added to the inventory
- Provided education to more than 2000 people
- Launched a Tools & Skills class for women, non-binary, and trans learners
- Re-launched Fix-It Fair, a free community event to repair broken and damaged items
For 2023, I'm the most excited about the opportunity to provide class scholarships to community members to take full advantage of the great SNTL learning opportunities. The majority of our scholarship requests come from women of color earning less than $30,000 per year. We receive about 6 requests a month = 72 learners.
Will you join me and donate to the tool library we can say "yes!" to every scholarship request from our community?
