We were founded in 2003 and this new website represents the latest iteration of the foundation under the new board of directors, continuing the work of the esteemed former board members.

In the mid 1980s, the first two collegiate recovery programs were founded, first at Rutgers University and then at Texas Tech University, which would grow to inspire the larger collegiate recovery movement.

In 2000, two additional recovery programs existed across the country at Augsburg College and Loyola University. All of these programs promoted the importance of giving people in recovery the opportunity to pursue higher education and the necessity of a strong supportive community throughout that process.
