The Social Justice Center is a neighborhood hub of social justice organizing, essential supportive services, collaboration and activism. Our 14 member organizations work on a variety of issues including housing and homelessness, restorative justice, community organizing, books to prisoners, cooperative development, art programs, and affordable financial services. We also have an incubator for new or smaller organizations and provide fiscal sponsorship to help their projects take off. In addition to being home to our member organizations, SJC offers community support programs, including resource advocacy and a free food and essentials pantry.
In addition to being a home for our organizations, our facilities also include the Jackie Macaulay art gallery, community meeting and event spaces, and a rain garden.
