On September 2nd, in the private tasting room and bourbon library at Belle Meade Winery, NFL Super Bowl Champion Ben Utecht and Grammy-nominated artist Blessing Offor will share an unforgettable evening in an intimate setting. Guests will enjoy incredible food, fine wine, and Belle Meade’s signature bourbon while experiencing stories and songs that will stir the heart.

At the heart of this night is a sacred partnership between Sole Hope and The Shower Sock, two organizations united in serving vulnerable children in Uganda with compassion, innovation, and lasting care.

Jiggers are devastating parasites that burrow into bare feet, causing intense pain, dangerous infections, and deep shame. Sole Hope’s medical team removes the jiggers, washes and treats each foot, and fits every child with shoes made locally in Uganda. The Shower Sock provides anti-fungal/antimicrobial foot protection, helping prevent infection and aiding in each child's healing process. Together, we are developing a comprehensive care model that addresses physical needs and values the worth of every child.

This year, we are believing for 50,000 pairs of Shower Socks to be sent to Uganda. After jigger removal, children are left with open wounds that are highly vulnerable to infection. Each pair of Shower Socks protects their feet, safeguards their healing, and helps them walk in freedom and dignity.

Throughout Scripture, God’s work often begins at the feet. Feet are washed. Wounds are healed. Journeys are launched. This evening is your invitation to step into that story and be part of something eternal.
