We are so proud and humbled to be a part of the Flathead Warming Center and thankful for all the quality people who are involved with this incredible organization.
Homelessness is a problem in the Flathead Valley, and we are part of the solution to helping people out of homelessness.
Dancing With The Stars is a great opportunity for the community to come together in support and further understanding of what it means to take care of each other in the Flathead.
We are honored to be dancing this year as newly weds, and hope to see our dance bring support from our community!

CHELSEA SPEER
Chelsea has been dancing for about 28 years. She has taught dance classes for 14 years, the last 10 being right here in the Flathead Valley. During that time, she taught classes in ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical, contemporary and Broadway to students aged 3 to adult. Before that, Chelsea taught classes in ballet, pointe, jazz and tap for 4 years in Arizona, where she is originally from.
Chelsea was also privileged to teach for a program in Arizona for students with disabilities, where she used her unique abilities to help these students learn the joy of dance despite their difficulties. In addition to her teaching experience, she also danced for 4 years in a professional dance company called AZ Dance Group.
Chelsea originally began her dance training at the age of three. The style she trained in was the Royal Academy of Dancing. She was able to complete most of her ballet exams through the intermediate level with examiners from London, England. Chelsea grew up participating in various dance intensives all over the U.S. She attended a performing arts high school in Arizona where she studied a variety of dance forms. Chelsea went to college in Oregon and Arizona where she took dance classes and performed with a dance company. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education and is currently a special education Preschool Teacher.
Chelsea has had the privilege of choreographing over a dozen wedding dances for couples to create a special dance just for them on their wedding day. She works with her husband sometimes to work together to teach a ballroom type style dance (waltz, two step, fox trot or swing). They’ve done the bride and groom's first dances, mother/son, father/daughter, and even a bridal party flash mob. Her goal for the future is to continue to grow her wedding business!
Chelsea was honored to be asked to be involved with the Soles of the Flathead ~ Dancing with the Stars Event for a second year and can't think of a better organization that supports those less fortunate in the valley than the Warming Center. She is honored to be able to use her gifts as a dance teacher, to teach the "celebrity couples" and bless the community with the art of dance for such a wonderful cause. As a dance studio owner, she appreciates that she can support non-profit work through dance! She also hopes her dance families see that it is a good thing to give back to the community.
