Matt is the regional editor for the Daily Inter Lake and Sadie is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Glacier Medical Associates. They met in college at a bagel shop in Missoula and have called Whitefish home since 2005. They have three young daughters, Isla, Samantha and Jenna, and enjoy family ski days on Big Mountain, hiking and weekend camping trips.

Their waltz steps are ... a work in progress. With the assistance of their fantastic dance coach Amy Noel, they're confident they'll be ready for the spotlight at this year's Soles of the Flathead Gala.

AMY NOEL

Amy is a lifelong dancer who began her training at the local Y in Missoula, MT At the age of 10, under the tutelage of Pam Copley, she was awarded the role of Clara with Garden City Ballet’s Nutcracker and the seed was planted to pursue a career in dance. After moving to Hong Kong, she had the opportunity to guest perform with the Hong Kong Ballet in their production of Coppelia. She also performed as a corps dancer in the touring production of Aida. Upon graduating from high school, Amy moved to Los Angeles to pursue a commercial dance career. There, she received a scholarship and attended the pre-professional program at Edge Performing Arts Center. After working as a professional dancer in LA for a few years, she moved on to modern dance studies at the University of Montana, where she expanded her artistic horizons and expression. 

Along the way, she explored West African, Afro Cuban, swing and salsa training. Amy currently enjoys performing with the Mountain Latin Rhythm dance team in the Flathead Valley, and teaching ballet and contemporary dance at Noble Dance in Kalispell. Amy is mother, to 9-year-old Rowan, and proud owner/operator of Studio 7 Pilates in Kalispell where she spends all of her other “free time”. Amy is always eager to learn new things and to share her love of dance with others.
