The Solidarity Restaurants initiative—originally launched in 2017—was created to support immigrant workers by encouraging restaurants to sign a public pledge, display a placard in their windows, and participate in “Know Your Rights” trainings. These efforts prepared both owners and staff for potential ICE raids and ensured awareness of their rights in the workplace and beyond.

We are now relaunching the initiative to support restaurants who stand in solidarity with immigrant workers, while also advocating for those impacted by the rollback of critical rights and benefits—such as access to food stamps and fair wages.

We currently have just over 100 Solidarity Restaurants signed up nationwide, and we expect that number to grow as awareness spreads.
