*UPDATE* - As of July 2021, we have an income again. At this point, we'll be able to survive and pay the bills without too much trouble. Thank you all so much for your generosity.

Last March, I finally won the battle with my health insurance, and scheduled my appointment for top surgery. Only a few days later, I found out that my parents took me off of their health insurance to try to stop me from transitioning. I've had severe chest dysphoria since the onset of puberty, and I couldn't wait any longer. I decided to go through with the surgery, despite not having insurance. The cost of surgery was $9,600 USD which I decided to cover with a CareCredit card. The budget would be tight, but we knew we could make it happen. I had surgery in August, and my results are wonderful. Things were looking up.

But then my girlfriend lost her job. Just a few days ago, my girlfriend was let go from her work. I'm disabled, and we need help. My monthly disability payment covers rent with only $118 left over. We've applied for food stamps and unemployment in the meantime to survive.

I set our goal at $9,600 - the total cost of surgery. We may not end up reaching it, but $305/month will cover the minimum monthly payment.
