Last December we had the opportunity of fundraising for the St. Ben’s basketball team’s tournament at Mundelein seminary. Not only was it a successful event it also provided the funds necessary for the team to go up and win the tournament! This semester our seminarians have been practicing their musical talents for yet another fundraiser. This semester’s fundraiser will be joined with Our Lady of Mount Carmel Chapel and will be for the benefit of helping children in El Salvador receive a proper education. Along with this act of charity, this fundraiser will also help provide funds for a group of religious sisters, Las Hermanas Nazarenas, who devote themselves in caring for elderly women in El Salvador. The seminarians and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Chapel’s choir have been preparing to perform their talents for you and are excited to be able to help a charitable cause! The event will be on April 20th. General admission for adults is $25.00 each, children under 13 is $10.00, and children under 5 years get in for free. It will begin first with a social gathering at 5pm where appetizers and drinks will be provided. It will be an opportunity to socialize with seminarians and all attendees. The concert will then begin at 7pm and conclude at 9pm. Please consider donating to and attending this event. We look forward to seeing you there!
