However, it's impossible to offer the best when state funding only covers the basics.

Our students deserve more than the basics

That's where the Foundation comes in. We work in partnership with the District to discover and fill the gaps between what's provided and what's possible.

It's the community--parents, advocates, and donors like you--who make it possible to fund these gaps, and transform what's provided to what's possible.

What's will my donation make possible for our studnets?

Strong Foundations

Kindergarten Jumpstart, summer reading support, early K–3 math and literacy intervention. The research is clear: what happens in the early grades shapes the trajectory. SKPEF invests here because catching a child up in third grade is possible. Catching them up in ninth grade is hard.

Pathways to Graduation and Beyond

Scholar awardsw, AVID, College Prep, 8th grade career exploration. For many Kitsap students, the path beyond high school isn't clear. These programs make it visible.

Removing Barriers to Learning

Lunch Angels, meal support, emergency family assistance. Students who are hungry or worried about their family, makes it difficult to focus. SKPEF fund the supports that make learning possible

Belonging and Connection

Summer camps, the arts, NJROTC Sailing , New Teacher Breakfasts. School is more than academics. Students who feel they belong show-up differently. SKPEF funds the experiences that build a storng sense of belonging,

Innovation and Excellence

Classroom grants, Mission to Mars space camp, STEM Learning Spaces, VIrtual Learning supports. Teachers have ideas. They don't have the budget. SKPEF funds the bold experiements that raise the bar for everyone.
