Be the Spark Behind Student Parent Success

When Sarah Boatner enrolled in college, her son was just two months old. She was new to Northern Colorado, had no family nearby, and was a full-time mom and a full-time STEM student. She learned quickly that help for student parents existed, but it was scattered, hard to find, and harder to navigate than to qualify for.

Around her, she met student parents who were doing everything right and still struggling, because the system wasn't built for people raising kids while earning a degree. That's why she founded Spark, Inc.: so no student parent has to figure it all out alone.

Today, 11 student parents (and growing) are part of the Spark community. Each one is balancing classes, childcare, work, and family life, and each one deserves someone in their corner. That's what case management provides. Our Program Director works one-on-one with each parent to find resources, get through college systems, set goals, and stay on track from the classroom to a career.

We're raising $5,000 to fund that work. Your gift means a parent working toward a degree has a dedicated guide when they need one most. When a student parent succeeds, the whole family's future changes.

Be the spark behind their success.
