CARE Washington, DC (CARE DC) is a movement to revolutionize public education by cultivating power in our neighborhoods to impact our community schools. CARE Anacostia and CARE Brookland are two federal community-based nonprofit organizations supporting five schools per neighborhood. 

 

The CARE DC movement reaches approximately 2,400 students in local Title 1 schools in Wards 5 and 8, of whom 92% are Black, 5% Latinx, and 3% are White/Other.

 

At CARE DC, we believe that every dollar is crucial to our mission.

Your support will contribute to: 

* Support Black Women leaders continuing the legacy of collective action and progress for community support for our community schools

* Fund the educational hopes and dreams of our people 

* Provide resources directly to educators to advance the learning experience

* Build power to advocate for and inspire young people of color
