We have a narrow window to put real SLP cost data in front of CMS, and we need the SLP community's help to fund it now.

Fix SLP is launching a nationwide SLP cost survey to collect and professionally analyze the actual cost of providing speech-language pathology services across the country. An independent CPA will confidentially collect and aggregate data from adult Part B and pediatric providers to support advocacy for the value and reimbursement of SLP services.

The problem is simple: we cannot effectively defend the value of our services without data.

When reimbursement is cut, when CPT codes are undervalued, or when policymakers are determining what our services are worth, our profession needs more than stories about rising costs and unsustainable rates. We need numbers. We need evidence. And right now, we do not have enough of it.

There is an immediate opportunity to change that.

The data collected through this project can help us:

Put real SLP cost data in front of CMS and other decision-makers.
Demonstrate what it actually costs to provide SLP services today.
Support advocacy surrounding the valuation of SLP CPT codes.
Give SLPs stronger evidence to fight reimbursement cuts and advocate for appropriate rates at both the state and national levels.
Build a national dataset that our profession can continue to use for future advocacy.

But we have to move NOW.

Collecting and analyzing nationwide data requires independent professional expertise, and we need to raise thousands of dollars quickly to make it happen.

The experienced legal team to guide CMS comments, ensure we are following rules and regulations surrounding the data collection and storage, and the advocacy necessary to get it into the hands of CMS decision-makers.

This is not someone else's reimbursement problem.

We have spent years asking for our services to be appropriately valued.

Sole proprietor: $100–$250
Private practice with 5 SLPs: $250–$500
Private practice with 10 SLPs: $500–$1,000
Private practice with 10+ SLPs: $1,000–$2,500
Multi-state organization: $2,500–$5,000
