This year’s theme is Hollywood Glamour - A Night With The Stars. The theme reflects the Art Deco Architecture of the Scottish Rite Temple in downtown Miami.

WHY support the AIA’s Annual Design Awards Celebration? WHAT is AIA Miami? For over 97 years, The American Institute of Architects Miami has celebrated the design work of architects throughout our community in projects large and small, here and throughout the world. AIA Miami is a non-profit service organization (501(c)6, that serves its membership and the community.

WHO are our members? As the largest chapter in the state, AIA Miami’s membership includes over 1000 registered architects and emerging professionals- -our mailing list includes over 5,000 active members. Our Annual Partners and Allied Members come from all professions dealing with the built environment.

HOW long has the AIA been in existence? AIA Miami has served our community for over 97 years.

YOUR SUPPORT OF THE AIA MIAMI DESIGN AWARD CELEBRATION ALLOWS US TO CONTINUE WITH OUR EDUCATIONAL AND OUTREACH PROGRAMMING, INCLUDING:
• Creating over 100 hours of continuing education programming annually
• Providing $10,000 in scholarships each year for local students of color to architecture schools
• Giving $5,000 in grants annually to provide support for women studying and testing for the ARE
• Continuing outreach to young students of color in underserved communities through the award-winning
Black Architects in the Making Program (BAM)
• Coordinating a mentoring program that helps 50+ emerging professionals and students annually
• Developing and expanding the Architects in the Making (AIM) Summer Camp reaching 80+ children from accouss our county every year.
• Working closely with local, state, and federal governments to advocate for issues relating to the built
environment
