FightRise is making dreams come true once again, this time as a team.

FightRise.com and our Discord community were built on a simple belief: fighting games are best conquered with a community in your corner. Our community promotes self improvement and motivation, both in game and in life, helping players reach levels they never thought possible on their own.

Last year, the FightRise family banded together to send Jared “Lazyboredom” Hubbard to CEO, where he broke into the Top 100 in an incredibly stacked bracket.

This year, we are doubling down.

For the first time, we are aiming to sponsor not just one competitor, but two of our fiercest players to take on CEO 2026 as Matthew “Satorha” Chae joins the team.

Satorha and Lazyboredom embody the best of what we strive for at FightRise. They grind hard in Street Fighter 6 with positive, competitive, and humble attitudes while showcasing skill matched only by the best players in the game. Despite busy schedules, they continue giving back and making themselves accessible to the community and our events.

Their dream is to step into the CEO ring and fight for a Top 8 finish together. Let’s show the FGC the power of this community. Let’s send Team FightRise to CEO 2026.

Meet Team FightRise:

Jared "Lazyboredom" Hubbard is returning to realize his dream of a CEO Top 8 walk-out. Lazyboredom continues to turn heads with Marisa, consistently placing high in TNS and Motivation Academy. He has earned praise from many of the best players in the game, and his numerous Top 8 finishes at the highest level of competition speak for themselves. Lazyboredom is currently considered the #1 player in North Carolina, the #1 ranked Marisa in North America, and one of the top Street Fighter 6 players in the world.

Joining him is Matthew “Satorha” Chae. While Street Fighter 6 is his first competitive fighting game, Matthew brings an elite competitive pedigree as a former world record speedrunner for Metroid Dread. Mentored by the best in FightRise, with many sparring hours alongside Lazyboredom, Satorha has rapidly climbed the ranks. He recently earned two Top 5 finishes at Tristate regionals and a Top 500 placement at EVO 2025. Now he’s hungry to showcase his full strength at CEO alongside his friend and rival.

For both players, the travel costs to major events are a significant hurdle. Competing side by side at CEO is a dream come true, and they are ready to train hard to make the community proud. Let’s send our team to the big stage!

We worked with Lazyboredom and Satorha to budget this 5 day trip to Orlando as reasonably and affordably as possible.

With your contributions, Lazyboredom and Satorha will be able to travel to Orlando and don the FightRise sponsor tag in the bracket. If we reach that goal, they will also wear a jersey that proudly shows the community that supported them.

We plan to print every donor’s name on the jersey, with top donors highlighted. Being able to send these two together to support each other and reach new heights would be an incredible benefit for both of them.

Finally, every donor, no matter the amount, will have their name printed on an updated jersey if we hit that goal. We’ll be adding new names around last year’s design!

At the end of the day, this is a donation. There’s no guarantee that Lazyboredom or Satorha will make it to Top 8, but without this help they wouldn’t even be able to TRY.
