Kalaam was founded to create long lasting impact in the lives of forgotten Afghans; in contrast to providing emergency aid to families in great need, your donations will be consistently used to put food on the table, as well as keeping a roof over children's heads. Your payments will primarily be used for monthly rent, food, and winter essentials, such as wood, blankets, coats, etc. As temperatures drop, and the harsh winters of Afghanistan get closer, families will be in need of winter essentials to stay warm and healthy. Last winter, thousands of children froze to death, but this year, we are hoping to save lives.
