Spray Can Stories "The Series" fundraiser

Spray Can Stories is an independent documentary preserving the untold history of graffiti writers and the culture that helped shape hip-hop worldwide. This fundraiser supports the creation of more short documentaries as we seek to preserve this important history.  Funds will also go towards the distribution of our initial film, producing additional relevant music storytelling, capturing the voices, creativity, and lived experiences of TATS CRU,  BG183, and NICER, as well as other legendary Bronx graffiti artists and crews who turned city walls and trains into living history.

Directed by Emmitt H. Thrower, the film explores identity, resilience, community, and artistic freedom—honoring both pioneers and today’s writers whose stories are often erased or misunderstood.

Funds raised support additional documentary series and music productions, research, archival preservation, accessibility, and film festival and community screenings of completed films and music. Your support helps protect an essential chapter of hip-hop culture for future generations.
