The Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education (AEOE) is a dynamic community of educators, naturalists, and advocates who are passionate about connecting people to the outdoors. Through professional development, networking, and a strong commitment to equity and inclusion, AEOE strengthens and supports the field of environmental and outdoor education across California. As a hub for sharing best practices and building community, AEOE helps ensure that people of all backgrounds have meaningful opportunities to learn from and experience the natural world.
For the month of May, I’m celebrating AEOE’s spring fundraiser with a special project: A Nudi a Day in May! I’ll be posting 31 photos of a nudibranch—an extraordinary type of colorful, soft-bodied sea slug. Known for their incredible diversity and often dazzling colors, nudibranchs are tiny treasures of the tidepools. Each photo was taken by me while tidepooling along the beautiful coastlines of California. I hope you’ll follow along and enjoy these small but spectacular marine wonders!
If you believe in the power of connecting people with nature, I invite you to support AEOE with a donation. Your gift will help strengthen programs that inspire the next generation of environmental stewards, support professional development for educators, and expand equitable access to outdoor learning experiences. Thank you for helping us grow the movement for environmental and outdoor education!
