We are thrilled to announce the return of Whatcom County’s beloved fashion event, Ragfinery’s Upcycle-Challenge Runway Show, now reimagined as the “Rags to Riches” Runway Show! This exciting fundraiser will take place on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, at The Majestic in Bellingham.

About the Event
This creative reuse showcase will feature stunning designs crafted from repurposed textiles, celebrating both sustainability and the artistic innovation of our local designers. The event will highlight the incredible possibilities of upcycling, turning discarded materials into high fashion.

Proceeds from the show will directly support Ragfinery’s mission and programs, including:

• Relaunching Our Workshops: Our workshops are back for the first time since the 2020 lockdown, with our first session selling out in just an hour! These workshops are essential for providing education on sustainable practices and artistic skills to our community.
• Textile Waste Diversion Initiatives: Help us keep textiles out of landfills and give them new life through reuse.
• Job Training and Creation: Your support will help us create job opportunities and provide valuable training for individuals in our community.
• Providing Low-Barrier Access: We aim to make garments, textile art supplies, and artist support accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation.
