Here on the Upper West Side, families and seniors at NYCHA's Amsterdam Houses and Harborview Terrace face impossible choices — between paying bills and buying food, between getting by and getting help. Our volunteers show up every month with food, household essentials, and something just as important: the reminder that their neighbors hadn't forgotten them.
