Spring 2024 Fundraiser

My name is Nancy Lyner, and I am a volunteer on the board of directors at Sustainable Stillwater MN. Why am I writing to you? Because I have children and grandchildren who deserve a Stillwater, community and world that is resilient and can be enjoyed despite climate change.

I want to make that happen.

At a time when this freakishly warm winter heralds the environmental challenges to come, we must redouble our efforts to create a sustainable future – and we urgently need your help.

Why Sustainable Stillwater MN? Our bike-friendly initiatives are part of a zero-carbon transportation strategy to have more electric vehicles, electric buses, and safer streets to bike on, especially for youth.

Our GreenStillwater.org, an online directory of sustainable local businesses, promotes green shopping and a healthier community.

We encourage volunteering at one of our teams to restore habitat, plant rain gardens, protect our birds, and remove invasive plants.

We are creating a comprehensive climate action plan with the city to reduce greenhouse gas pollution and anticipate climate-related problems so they can be solved now, saving the city money.

Finally, our annual Eco Fair on April 27 at Pioneer Park from 11 - 3 PM will showcase ways we can all heal our planet for future generations.

All this is not just for my kids, but for yours, too. Donations of your funds and time are crucial to the support of our important work. Every dollar counts to reduce our carbon footprint and ensure a healthy environment for future generations.
