FashUp is a teen fashion show with a powerful purpose:

to make prom possible for every young person — regardless of financial circumstances.

It was co-founded by Heather Perkins (Ignite Change) and Jameelah Love and the Ignite team after learning how many teens — especially those in foster care — miss out on prom simply because they can’t afford it.

Since 2019, FashUp has helped send nearly 1,000 teens to prom, raising both awareness and funds through storytelling, community, and an annual sold-out runway event.

Because the show reaches capacity each year, we created MakePromPossible.org — a way for anyone to help send teens to prom, whether or not they attend the event.

Funds raised support:

• Organizations like Cinderella Project MKE, which provides free dresses and confidence-building experiences

• Local schools, where we work directly with staff to provide tickets and support to teens with the greatest need

For many of these young people, prom isn’t just a dance — it’s a moment of confidence, belonging, and being seen.
