2024-12-04 10:00:002024-12-04 12:00:00America/New_YorkFamily Forum: Emergency Preparedness
At STARability Foundation, we are a family bound together by having someone very special to us with a developmental or intellectual disability. Families started the organization 40 years ago to support one another and create opportunities for their loved ones. Continuing that tradition, we offer semiannual Family Forums, featuring engaging presentations, open discussion, and valuable takeaways.
Join STARability for an informative and engaging session designed to support our STARs, their families and our community in navigating household and community safety, emergency situations and preparing for emergencies. This workshop will cover essential topics such as emergency preparedness for hurricanes, floods, fire safety, chemical safety, water safety, and how to handle the aftermath of emergencies.
Attendees will receive a virtual packet containing crucial emergency preparedness information, customized to meet the needs of STARability participants and their families. All attendees will be entered to win an emergency kit!
