"STAY" is one of the first words many dogs learn.

It's a simple command, but it represents something much bigger.

We believe every dog deserves the chance to stay—with the family who loves them, out of a shelter whenever possible, and on the path to a healthy, successful life.

Every intervention we fund is designed to make one more "stay" possible.Not every story has a happy ending. But many can.

STAY was created around one simple belief: when the right help arrives at the right time, everything can change.

A trainer can prevent a beloved dog from being surrendered.
A foster home can give an overwhelmed shelter dog the chance to decompress.
A grooming appointment can reveal the beautiful dog hidden beneath neglect.
Medical care can make an adoption possible.
A behavior assessment can open the door to a rescue placement.
These aren't extraordinary miracles.

They're timely interventions. And timely interventions save lives.

Our Mission: STAY provides the resources, expertise, and partnerships that help dogs avoid shelters whenever possible and help shelter dogs leave them healthier, happier, and ready for successful lives with families.
