Every Person Is Still Human

Most people walk out of prison with nothing.

No ID.

No phone.

No transportation.

No clean clothes.

No support system.

The first 72 hours after release are often the difference between success and returning to the same circumstances that led to incarceration in the first place.

Still Human exists to change that.

We are a Nevada-based nonprofit helping people build stability before and immediately after release through clothing, hygiene supplies, transportation assistance, phones, mentorship, employment connections, and community support.

But our work starts long before someone walks out of prison.

Through our Inside-Out Reentry Model, we build trusted relationships with incarcerated individuals while they are still inside. Those relationships often continue through release and into the community, creating a support network that begins before reentry ever occurs.

Our Impact

Since launching in December 2025, Still Human has:

• Assisted more than 74 justice-involved individuals

• Helped 73 participants remain out of custody

• Achieved a 93% employment rate among participants seeking work

• Ensured participants have access to housing, identification, transportation, and communication

• Built a network of 70+ incarcerated artists across 19 correctional facilities in 9 states

• Received approximately 70% of referrals directly from incarcerated participants and their peer networks

Purpose Through Creation

We also operate Purpose Through Creation, a restorative arts initiative that provides incarcerated artists with opportunities to create, contribute, earn compensation for their work, and reconnect with a sense of purpose, dignity, and positive identity.
