StopCOVID-19 Special Operations Group (the "SOG" or the "Company") is an Illinois not-for-profit that is applying with the Internal Revenue Service (the "IRS") for recognition of its tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (the “Code”). Given the crisis and the innumerable organizations rapidly formed to fight the pandemic, the IRS and other governmental organizations involved in this process have experienced some delays, and the SOG has, as a consequence, not yet received a determination letter recognizing such status.

Contributions made to the SOG, including contributions made prior to the time that the Company has obtained tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3), will be deductible to the extent permitted by applicable law upon the Company’s receipt of an IRS letter of determination recognizing the Company’s tax-exempt status. Please consult with your tax advisor regarding the timing, availability, and amount of any income deduction available as a result of contributions to the Company.
